Praxonomy is seeking a talented individual to join the development team to drive the Quality Assurance efforts for Praxonomy’s product suite. He/She will be a key team member overseeing the product testing and QA processes. The successful candidate should possess a strong analytical mind, natural curiosity, an eye for details and experience leading a QA unit. He/She will be required to understand the business goals and product requirements to develop and execute test scripts against the defined requirements. Through a systematic approach to testing, the candidate will identify and track issues, and work with the development team to drive to resolution. He/She should have excellent time management skills and must be acutely aware of product development and release dates.
As this role will interact with the product owner and development team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to raise, understand and resolve issues.
Responsibility
Lead the quality assurance efforts for Praxonomy’s suite of applications
Liaise with the product manager and development team to understand product requirements
Participate in release planning, devise test plans and test strategies
Design test cases and perform functional and regression testing
Identify, report, manage, and track defects
Ensure quality of deliverables conform to company standards
Comply with the company’s quality and information security management system requirements
Essential Skills & Experiences
Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
7+ years of relevant professional experience
Thorough knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience with test automation (e.g. Selenium)
An effective team player, with the capability of working independently under high pressure to meet tight deadlines
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solving skills with a quality-oriented mindset
Excellent communication skills
Ability to adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment
Desirable Skills and Experience
Comfortable with SQL and Relational databases (e.g. MySQL)
Practical knowledge in performance and stress testing
